erased footage in Log and Transfer

I recently shot some footage and was transferring it into FCP through Log and transfer from a P2 card saved on a external hard drive but there were errors on most of the clips. So I erased them from the Log and transfer window to try bring them in again but the files are now all erased on my hard drive I wasn't aware that erasing them from the Log and Transfer window erases from the source file. Is there anyway I can get those files back?
 
Sorry man, once you delete something from the LOG AND TRANSFER window...it is gone. There is a big warning about that too.

No way to get them back...sorry.

You can recover most anything from a hard drive if you say emptied the trash or deleted something, as long as you don't write anything else onto that drive. All the computer does is flip a digital switch to make the system know that that part of the hard drive is now available. I had forgotten this when I flippantly answered like I did...sorry.

If you did this on the P2 card...I don't think you could recover it. But I might be wrong there too.
 
Shane is generally correct here. You delete in log and transfer and it's gone.

Data Rescue works only in charmed circumstances.

That's why many use redundant backups and do not transfer from the original import.
