GH13 Equal alternative to the short kit lens? The Vario G 14-42 (NOT the 14-45)

I assume the Vario G 14-42 would be capable of utlizing the GH1 for Optical Image Stabilizing --OIS-- and Autofocus like the kit 14-45.

Anyone disagree?

yes it has OIS and works fine on the GH1. you enable/disable it through a menu.
