FEATURE: Epitaph: Bread and Salt Feature film

What... now there's going to have to be legislation and people tattooed with... "This person has undergone genetic enhancements or alterations."... (then again... I think people with Silly Conies should be sued for false advertising...).

But couldn't you have gone with Frank N. Steen... (If you recall the intro of the Gene Wilder charcter in "Young Frankenstein"(1974)...).

These are commercials for Frank Stein Industries. Still want to do a little more with the top one. I think one will appear after the credits and one will appear in the movie.

LOL, Young Frankenstein was were I got the idea. Dr. Frank Stein (Dr. Eric Von Frankenstein) is a descendent of the original Dr. Frankenstein. In our story "Frankenstein" is a biography of Mary Shelly's doctor and mentor. Eric only pops up from time to time, but may be in the next movie.

Costume for Final Fight.

Taking names and kicking butt! Like the stake, most practical one I've seen. Small enough diameter to wield properly and with the wrapping, possibly the first vampire hunter on film to take splinters into account.

Loved the Frank Stein clips, but something felt off about the first one. Maybe slide the background down a bit to better match the perspective. Or distort slightly to closer match the lens used on the actress. Your new costume looks great btw!

Thanks. And the commercial is only seen for a few seconds on his television then he cuts it off. The second one is fully seen after the credits.

It's actually is fighting staff made to be able to strike, parry and stake.

Very nice man! A small critique would be to remove the reverb from the dialogue. Loved the pacing and shot selection. Looking forward to seeing it! :)

I'm not hearing the reverb. Maybe I need to get a new pair of speakers. I'll listen again with headphones later. Glad you liked it. Should be out in a few months.

I don't know if it is 'reverb' or just 'strange roomy'... I don't usually have sound up when I watch the various shorts and trailers here... but I did have my audio setup when I watched the your recent clip and it did sound 'strange'... I'll have to listen again tonight maybe, to be more specific...

Okay. Because all of it should be good now. I've been using the FCPX to enhance all the sound and cut out the background noise. Plus I have a h1n which I use to record sound too.

I had a chance to listen to this on my 'fancy' system... real(tm) audio guys would laugh at it... but its better than what I had...

Anyway.. the intro girl's voice sounds like it is just too far away from the mic. For voice over there's no reason not to have the speaker about 6-8, or less, inches from the mic. I don't know what the H1N has for a mic, but I'd suggest closer, and turn down the gain on recording. As it is it sounded like she was on a speaker phone sitting across the conference table...

After two years of hard work and dedication, Epitaph: Bread and Salt has wrapped. Hopefully you will see the film released in the next few months. Thanks to everyone whose been keeping track of the film. I hope it's interesting and entertaining. It was a lot of fun to do and I've met a lot of great and interesting people in the Chicago film community.
