To be honest... for once I like the RED better. The Canon skin tones are always too redish and saturated too my taste. I've been shooting Canon Raw stills for a long time and all my work with models always gets a "red out" layer on top.
Also that jittering is annoying.

If I didn't already have Canon lenses and so on that D5200 looks tasty.

Agreed, can't say I'm a pro but regardless of WB and tint adjustments I'm always shifting red hues slightly to the right and desaturating.

Really cool vids though! Wonder if the 1D-C was desatruated a little more to match the epic if it'd be more similar?

The blacks levels are too different to gauge it properly.
