I also emailed EOSHD to get more information, and received no reply.
I did end up purchasing this book, along with a new GH2, and so far I do find it to be worthwhile. With all kids of activity going on around the holidays, I've only scratched the surface, but I think it will help me dive in faster than I would have by reading the manual and searching for bits of information on various forums.
That said, this is definitely not the be all-end all volume on using the GH2 for filmmaking, just a nice guide to get your feet wet. I'd be happy to post more or answer more questions once I've had a chance to read a bit more.
Got this book yesterday, read some this morning, it had good, clear explainations and some fun drills however most of this book is about how to optimize the GH2 for video so if you want to know anything about stills... I'm about to hack my GH2 and let the games begin.
