CC Stills- Before & After

CC Stills- Before & After

As previously stated, I tried to capture the look we wanted in camera, knowing that I prefer the more organic look, and knowing that we did not have a tone of time for CC even if we did want to do it in post. Using a bleach bypass filter set very low, I set out to crush the black some, making for a darker overall feel- while still keeping some detail. This made the blacks a little more crisp. The difference is subtle, enough to make a difference, but not enough to scream CC.

Enjoy!

Sheesh, even looking for the difference, I can BARELY see it, Ryan. The upstairs is especially a good testament to the in-camera look you & Tung were able to achieve with the lighting, etc.

Hey, the grabs look really good guys. It's amazing what you got just in-camera. Can't wait to see it all finished! I had fun being on the crew and helping out.

Glad you like the apple boxes. Patrick's the first one suggested I get into that market, and he's got the first 4 I ever made, too. If interested, shoot me a PM. I'm still working on how much it is to ship them, but they're $20 each.

I gotta give props to my dad though, for supplying all the tools, and the training over the years.

PS: that's not the last shot of Norm and pizza you'll be seeing either...

Thanks Norm for all the nice comments and encouragement! Everyone on set was great to work with and extremely professional. I had a terrific time!

Thanks,

Rebecca

Glad you like the apple boxes.

Thanks again for that comfy bed! By the end of the night I think everyone was jealous that they couldn't crash out in it! Thanks again for all your help.

Thank you for all your tremendous efforts on the music. I also enjoyed the BTS music. I've seen the mostly finished product and it flowed well.

Looking awesome. BTS was great to watch. Kudos for jumping in and getting it done. Can't wait to see it.

That pizza pic cracked me up. I totally know that look.... rush, rush, rush... then: food. Everybody stops, slouches a little, and gets that blank look for a while.

Anyway, great looking stuff. Good luck!

Thanks snodart, look forward to watching yours as well!

Just logged on, and looks like Rebecca's figured out how to sign up ... ... welcome to DVXuser, Rebecca!

*Okay boys, we've got a lady in the thread now ... be polite.

LOL!

That was a great behind the scenes video Norm. No narration....but it didn't need one. Looked very good. I'm looking forward to the film.

LOL!

I'll be good if I can figure out a pic to use. Would you or Ryan be able to e-mail me a couple from your BTS footage that's the right size to upload? I've enjoyed reading all the feedback. Great site.

Ah, I got it ... I'm sending you a PM ... look in the upper right hand corner of your browser & it'lll tell you if you have any private messages or not, and if so how many.

Looks cool. Should I watch the BTS now or after I see the movie? Rapid eye movement is my favorite type of eye movement by the way....

Can't wait to see how it turned out! It was a fun shoot to be a part of.

And I may just have to post the "other" pizza pic. ;)

Yep, the difference is very slight. The most effective way to see the difference is to but one on top of the other and then switch back and forth- then you will see the image pop.

When just looking and the pix next to each other, pay attention to the shaddow & highlight areas- in the after pictures they are darker. Enough to make a difference, but not a huge amount.
