Environmental short doco wins Festival

Well done. I really enjoyed watching it. Youtube is terrible but even with all the compression you're material looked great. I would love to see a better compressed version.
One thing that i find a bit cheesy is the opening title. too discovery channel. feels like i'm about to watch something on the loch ness monster.

Well done:thumbup:

I

I

actually enjoyed it a lot

You need to upload to vimeo at least, the quality gets degraded too much

Did you buy stock footage?
If so which

:)

Thanks for the comments... no all footage was shot by me.. no stock footage..

Yeah I'll see about uploading to a vimeo.. have not used there services yet..

In Australia the government has just announced an emission trading scheme.. kinda sounds like hog wash.. and they reckon they'll throw $10 Billion into our rivers to restore them to health.. but it's all vote buying stuff...

They are still charging a premium for green energy.. yet 80% of green energy comes from Snowy Hydro... who use coal fired power stations to pump water up at night and sell it as green during the day... corporate thieving at the highest level...

I'm trying to expose these crooks for what they are... thieves...

Cheers

Nice work Lez. Would be good if we could have a hard look at not only environmental impact, but the livelihoods that it effects as well.

I agree Noel.. I have a hour version and a 1/2 hour cut... which does go into a little more detail about some of the people it affected.. like Dick Suthern.. family owned farm on the banks of the Snowy River that was flooded when they built the dam..

They shifted them downstream and then cut off the water...

Our major issue is only 10,000 people live on or near the river system.. while there is about 500,000 on the irrigation side... their votes buy more at the moment...

Cheers
