VIDEO I DID HANDHELD:
Hey all. So I am a traceur/freerunner of about three years now. If you don't know what it is check out www.americanparkour.com, or www.wikipedia.com/wiki/parkour there is A LOT of misinformation about this on the internet though so don't just google it and expect more than half of it is correct.
Anyways, there was a big meetup on saturday and sunday the week before last. I filmed each day and I finished the edit for the first day (the smaller of the two).
I honestly am not all that proud of this, though I should be because I spent a long time editing it, BUT, I thought I should share since I filmed the ENTIRE thing completely handheld. I did use a 28mm lens but I was surprised how stable I was able to keep the shots. In addition I was obviously pulling focus with my hands which worked well enough and it did not ever really cause the camera to tilt back and forth. So yeah, take a look and please tell me what you think. Day two (UCLA) had about 70 people or more and has stuff that is probably more impressive to people. I am super busy but I think I will get to it eventually. On the second day I had learned a lot by reviewing the footage. Just goes to show that experience is the best teacher.

Also it looks really crappy on vimeo. idk why. It honestly looks much worse than the original file. maybe someone could help me figure out why?
Anyways, thanks guys, your comments would be really appreciated.
