ENG, No Grading, SD Downconvert Settings

I've been pondering these issues for the past few weeks. My goal is to shoot for SD delivery without worrying about color correction. Sounds simple but it's something that has escaped me since I've bought this camera. I have seen others produce high contrast/saturated footage with this camera while mine looks flat (at least on a computer monitor).

I want to share my findings and get input from others.

For my picture profile I HAVE been shooting with Bill Raven's True Color 3. I am going to experiment with Doug Jensen's setting now. I am tossing it up between STD2 gamma with 85 point, 10 point slope knee (per Alister Chapman) eor CINE4 (per Doug Jensen). They look about the same to me. My detail settings are the ones the BBC provided (Level: 0, Freq: +30, Crisp: -45). So it's a hybrid of picture profiles.

True Color 3 just looks flat on a computer screen...although it looks great on a Sony Bravia LCD TV and the EX1 LCD monitor. What are YOU using for shooting footage that looks great right out of the camera?

Since I will be downconverting to standard def and my findings with 1080/60i conversion vs. 720/60p have yielded better downconversion results. This is ONLY if I am shooting with intention to downconvert. For the record I am doing the famed best-practices Virtual Dub method for downconversion with Canopus Edius 5. I have yet to test 720/60p in a standard def timeline for conversion but VDub and straight to MPEG-2 seem to work well. For HD deliverables I still like 1080/60i or 1080/24p.
