Emulating Pro-mist look

Hi guys, I'm gonna be shooting a school video on wednesday for the student council and they plan for a video that really ups the 'cheese' factor, so I decided to try to emulate the pro-mist filter look to get it to look somewhat like general hospital or days of our lives. Any idea's on how to replicate this with in-camera settings or through the NLE? I guess it'll have to be overexposed a tad but other than that I'm not very sure how to give it that 'soft' look.

Yeah...Thats the only way huh...I tend to try to avoid magic bullet due to the inhumanly long render times. But since it seems to be the only way, other than black or white diffusion any other look suggestions?
