Anybody mentioned if its possible to get sensor windowing by changing resolution in the future ? So lenses for super 16mm or 16mm wouldnt vignette ? Crop in camera and upscale to 1080p ?
+1As I mentioned in a recent deleted thread, I wonder whether it would be possible to use ptool to remove the firmware versioning requirement, so the camera would happily accept whatever firmware was presented to it, without worrying whether it was a higher version number than the existing one. I can't think of a downside to that from the user's point of view. And it would enable anyone worried about going back to official firmware even after many uses of ptool to do so.
Hi tester13!I would donate $50 for these hacks. <--may be this is exact reason why your message had been deleted? As you do not understand donations.
Hi tester13!Can you please explain? I did not find any "donation rules" in this forum. Just a link to a donation page.
I typically donate to projects or organizations that are performing valuable work. If you can do the hacks I mentioned, that would be valuable.
The project has to be kept on the right side of some tricky legal issues.is there some business/tax issue with naming specific hacks?
what's the latest on the donation amount? last i heard it was $500 something..
I'm so glad you made this thread - I've been itching to put forward a request but didn't want to derail any of the other threads.
My request is about EVF & LCD behavior. When you put your eye near the EVF, the LCD turns off. Is it possible to make it such that the LCD doesn't turn off even when the EVF is on?
I think running both the EVF and LCD is too taxing on the CPU, as thet are different devices in both technology and number of pixels.
Let's hope Tester13 can enable the A/V monitoring so it will be possible to connect a small LCD monitor and headphones.
