EMERGENCY!! HELP!! ON LOCATION!!!

that is the message that i have flashing in red on my screen. the camera is making a noise that sounds like the servo is grinding or something... also the screen has a slight jitter.....

i am supposed to film on location today and have another camera but not anothwer panny shooting in 24p....

i am trying not to freak out. can anyone help SOON??

that means theres somthing wrong with the cameras gyro-shake detection system.. shut the OIS off and it should be ok.  try using it again later. .. di it get droped of something, or is it really cold there?

also.. concerning the servo grinding sound.. is it only when you zoom? be sure that your manual/servo zoom switch on the front is firmly on one selection or the other.. swith out of what its in, and then switch back to the same one you want.

thanks for the help. i am not really sure what happened to it. i turned the OIS off and the jittering has stopped.

if anybody else has input i would be glad to hear it...

and for future reference where should i send it for repair?

take it to a service center ASAP! it is only the tip of the iceberg. I had to have a whole new lens assembly and a circuit board put in and it still isn't right. Its currently in the shop, for the fourth time in just under a year. good luck.
