The files that I recorded are visible and available for playback while the disk is in the recorder but once I safely eject it and plug it in my computer, it they are hidden in a folder named CPOOL{_________ODYSSEY .I'm on a movie set at the moment and this situation is frustrating and scary. please help! This is an emergency! I've invested all my life's savings in this project...

Windows 7, PC tried in on multiple computers. Will try the prores tool. We're still shooting, hence short answers, sorry

ProRes Tool should work if it playsback on the device – so the data is physically stored. Also try different sataIII adapter if possible.

Hey guys,

I got a response from Dan Keaton asking me to recover files using the Recovery button on O7Q. Here's my response.

If you get any more ideas or have had a similar situation before, please share!

I'm sorry for not being able to contact you earlier but unfortunately I had to be present on the set and could not find time to access the computer..

I tried out your suggestion earlier (before I sent the first inquiry). Unfortunately, the recovery was unsuccessful. It gave me an error (I didn't write down the error number, the recorder is still on location, co I can't access it right now. I have the disks, though).

I believe a screenshot of what the files look like at the moment might be helpful.
These are the files in the CPOOL folder:

I can't access the CLIPS folder on my computer (the files played back on the 7Q even after the unsuccessful recovery, so they're still there and working fine!)

The contents of the status file are as follows:

I hope I gave some more answers. I got the second SSD to record today and it seems that the files play back fine on my computer.

All right guys! Problem solved!
It seems that recovering the SSD's multiple times within Odyssey 7Q helped resolve the issue. I'm leaving this piece of info here for any people in the future who might stumble upon a similar problem.

lol, how stupid that i even asked. I knew this function but glad i never needed it! I thought there is a recovery key-combo or something... Thanks anyway!
