Elevating the mic holder

I recently got a softie for my ME66, which is great, however when I use it mounted on the DVX's built-in mic holder, its sticking pretty far into my frame (and I've pushed it back as far as it will go). I found that if I'm able to elevate the mic holder just a little bit, my problem will be solved. Are there any products out there specially designed for this? Any suggestions at all?

Get an Azden mount to raise the mic and windjammer or a mattebox to keep the jammer from the lens sightlines.

I specifically don't want to use the shoe mount. I want to use the holder that is already built into the camera, all I need is it to be a little higher.

im with you eastside i was in the same situation as you and wanted to use the same mic holder so this is what i did i bought the azden mic holder suggested by overland films. and then i bought this http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=Search&A=details&Q=&sku=133276&is=REG&addedTroughType=search i cut it off at the L shape at the bottom so all i had was a straight bar and then i drilled 2 holes and the same screws that hold the mic holder and now i have a bar with 2 hot shoes and the mic is high enough out of the way
