El Cucui teaser trailer

[jamesstone]

Hello all, I've had this on my drive for a while now and finally got around to posting it.

I shot this for my senior final project at Cogswell College in Sunnyvale. The total run time is roughly 9 minutes and was done over the course of 5 days. Three on set, One day blue screen and one day on location down a ditch on the side of the road.

If anybody is interested I can post some behind the scenes photos that I have. I might even post the behind the scenes footage I put on the DVD.

But first things first here's the 30 meg teaser

Can't help but think of BSG when I hear that song.

Interesting. The acting seems so-so. Not really sure what it's about. I'm assuming some sort of monster?

Yeah it's based on Mexican folklore about a monster named El Cucui. Parents would tell their children that if they didn't behave then they would call for Cucui to to come down from the mountains and take them away. So in mine the college friends hit the rancher and leave him for dead on the side of the road. The rancher curses them etc. And yeah I know, I sounds remarkably like another movie about a dude in a rain jacket and a certain vampire slayer.

So anyway here's some of the many set photos that were shot.
