Eidting-mixing 4:3 with 16x9

I have been getting into 16x9 and using the "squeeze mode" on the DVX100B quite a bit now. One problem I found is that all my stock footage and graphics (intros, backgrounds, etc) are in a 4:3 format.

Is there anyway to pull this 4:3 footage in and re-size it to match the 16X9?
Sony Vegas 8.0, the 4x3 shows up in its native "square" fromat as an overlay and the 16x9 bleeds through on each side.

Thanks

***Sorry, I meant to post this in software.

There's not a lot you can do except zoom in to fill the sides, which of course crops off the top and/or bottom.
I guess...anyone else got anything?

Go into pan/crop; right-click the frame; choose "Match output aspect."

When you do that, though, make sure you shoot THIN with the DVX, and in Vegas, make sure you always set your render settings to BEST -- because you're rescaling the image and those settings will get you the best results.
