EVA1: EF mount - max weight

Hi Mitch,

Are there published specs on the max weight of the EF mount on the EVA1?

For example:

Zeiss milvus 25mm @ 2.8lbs
Canon 70-200 @ 3.28lbs

I am assuming it supports at least 3lbs since that is around the weight of the EVA1 w/basic accessories - fulcrum effect and all.

Can I use these two lenses safely, unsupported, handheld, while moving (ie in a moving vehicle, or panning up and down and side to side, without hand or any other support on the lens?)

What if you increase the weight on the EVA1? (Say, Zacuto Recoil Rig and/or Atomos Shogun Inferno + Shotgun mic) and a 3.28lbs Canon 70-200, unsupported, handheld. All good?

(and if you happen to know I would also be curious how this fairs with the GH5 via a Metabones speedbooster (specifically the new 5th generation booster with the positive lock)).

Much thanks.

Having lots of experience with Canone EF I’dsay no worries with support for those lenses. Anything over 5 lbs id want some support. Once you hit lenses over 10 lbs the lens is on the tripodand the camera dangles from it.

You can use those lenses without support. Weight of other items on the camera makes no difference to the stresses placed on the lens mount.
