Edius Neo to get AVCHD boost...

[ATL Media Group]

It seems Edius Neo 2 (and hopefully Edius 5) will be getting a new AVCHD boost software update:

Japanese press release says:

EDIUS Neo 2 Booster actualizes the real time playback of 3 streams or more without using the special additional hardware, (this corporation test result which keeps using Core i7 CPU loading PC).

I assume it's for Neo 2 first because it's bundled with the HMC40.

I also read that it is full frame playback/editing that is as smooth as editing DV with AVCHD!

Yes, this would be a nice update.

I have a new i7 system and stuttering playback in edius 5 even though the CPU is barely awake..

Probably won't see this for Edius 5. Look for Edius 6 before it's added which could be around Xmas or NAB of next year.
