We’re a small Sacramento-based multimedia company seeking a part-time (project-based) video editor/videographer. For the right person, this could grow into a full time or near-full time position within a few months.

We shoot with DVX and HVX cameras, edit with Premiere/After Effects, and produce content for broadcast and Internet use, and DVDs.

We shoot and edit content for a variety of purposes, including PSAs, short documentary/reality-style films, movie trailers and promos, real estate films and commercials, but a significant portion of the work right now is with gay adult media materials, so you should be comfortable working with explicit as well as more mainstream content.

Our preference would be someone with a lot of creativity and artistic ability, experience with Premiere and/or Final Cut , Photoshop, After Effects, and DVD Studio Pro, as well as someone familiar with DVX and HVX cameras, but we will consider an individual with a lot of enthusiasm and excitement for filmmaking who has more limited experience. In other words, we will happily consider college students or other non-professionals with an interest and background in filmmaking but lacking in formal training or relevant jobs on their resume.

Work will be in our office in Sacramento. We offer a professional but relaxed work environment, extremely flexible hours (including evenings and weekends if you prefer), and we are also interested in short film projects, so if you have a project you’ve been wanting to do, we occasionally take on projects just for fun when we have time. We work hard and expect that the person we hire will be responsible, reliable, efficient and be able to deliver very high quality work on time and without mistakes. But most of all, we want someone that we can rely on, that we get along with, and that is interested in learning, growing, and producing the best product possible. We’re an equal opportunity employer, but you need to be at least 18 to apply.

If this sounds intriguing, we’d like to hear from you. Email jobs@suntreemedia.com with a little about yourself and, if available, a link to a reel or video projects you’ve worked on. (You can PM me here too, but I forget to check my PMs, so email will get a quicker reply.)

Thanks very much!
