I am looking for a doc film editor to cut a mini series on auto racing history / car culture in So Cal. I have assembled a large collection of rare / unseen archival footage and photos and have shot interviews with the the families of some of the biggest names in racing history: Wally Parks, Vic Edelbrock, Mickey Thompson, JC Agajanian and more. You can check out some trailers and more info here: http://www.wheretheyraced.com
I can currently offer low pay with deferred pay options. I have been producing TV for Huell Howser Prod. at PBS for 15 years and have strong relationships with PBS (including a letter of intent to air) as well as other appropriate distribution networks.
I prefer Final Cut Pro as I have already strung out timelines and TC notes - but its not really needed. Interview footage was shot on P2 Varicam - transcoded to ProRes.
Please send reel / resume to info@wheretheyraced.com I will reply to talk about the project and payment options.
