I shot a sports event about a week ago and the editor/producer can not cut in xdcam-ex. I transcoded everything in DV anamorphic in compressor and he is only capable of getting the audio. I tried directing him online to install mpeg streamclip and transcode the video to a usable format but he became frustrated and asked me to do it instead. What settings do I use? Can anyone send me a compressor droplet that is Vegas Pro 7 friendly....

P.S. This is the last time i shoot for this guy but i wouldn't feel right if i didn't deliver my video as it is critical to other friends businesses.

I just read in another post that anyone can transcode using clip browser so ill just send all future video in the original BPAV folder.........

Actually, this is his problem, not yours.

Have him download the 9.0 version of Vegas Pro, which is fully functional for 30 days, and use that. He will be able to cut EX files natively.

I concur. Just because this guy doesn't know what he is doing, doesn't mean you have to bend over backwards. If you do, you better charge him for your time. Or this kind of crap just keeps happening and people will never learn to read up on there own equipment. This is a business not babysitting.

A problem with using a trial version is that once it's over, you will not be able to open the Vegas Pro 9 project files in Vegas 7.
