Hi, I purchased an HD100 and downloaded the trial version of Sony Vegas Platinum. I have the correct firewire for the camera, and when I connect it to the computer, it will make the sound and Vegas will come up. When I click capture video, it will either say Please Connect a Divice, have a black screen, and whenever I hit stop, it will say that nothing was captured, or it will just freeze. I have no idea why my videos wont show up on the computer. I also tried it on my other computer and the same thing happens. Also, whenever I hit the CAM/VTR button, it will say to change the 1394 switch, which it is implying to put it on HD, but it still doesn't work. Does anyone know what to do?
 
The trial version of Vegas does not allow HDV capture.

also, to my disappointment. The trial version won't even capture HDV-SD60. SO far I'm very impressed with what I can do to the SD stuff I captured, so I'm going to break down and buy the full version.

yeah it still wont work, and I bought Vegas Platinum. Whenever I go to capture video, it will play on my camera, but not on the computer. Also, a lot of times the capture window will freeze. Also, like it did before, the camera will say to change the 1394 switch, implying to go to HD.
