editing woes!!!

Ok, so here it is.... I'm having quality issues...When i capture video into Adobe Premiere and edit and all that good stuff, it comes out perfect. As long as I don't alter the shot (color correction for ex.) But if I take the shot to After Effects and apply effects to it, like cinelook or some other color correction, it seems more digitaly. it pixels and stuff..... What am I doing wrong?????

When I usually take my files to AE, I re-render it uncompressed. When I finish, I re-render it back to DV.

Simply uncheck the recompress box in AE, or you'll recompress the file "again", with the resulting loss of quality.
You already compressed when you rendered in Premiere.
