Editing together 1080i and 1080p, any problems?

Hello everyone I'm editing footage from a Sony hdr FX1 or whatever it's called, this shoots 1080i and from my 1080p panasonic GH1. Or rather I'm not editing yet but planning to later today and need to know asap if there are any inherent problems I should be aware of in editing these together in Premiere cs5?

Can anyone please tell me any tips on how to set this up and any problems to avoid, is it possible to edit these two together? I've never edited any 2 types of different footage together before.
How should I set up my timeline as 1080p24 avchd or ...?
Thanks for timely help I appreciate it as I need to know by this afternoon for a very time sensitive job!

Thank you!

3 things come to mind here... i know is 10 days late but hey doesnt hurt for others to hear.

first deinterlace the footage from HDR-FX-1
second transcode to something like h.264 or cineform
third make sure you have both aspect ratios corrected (1.3:1 and whatever GH1 frame size is, 1920 or 1280)

i would transcode all footage to mpeg4 or cineform to edit with; much faster to encode.

I could be wrong, but so far, everything I plop on the CS5 timeline just gets handled automatically. OTOH, I sometimes use Cineform for a lot of editing.
