editing squeeze mode 24pA footage?

I have a dvx100b and i shoot in squeeze 16:9 in 24pA mode. I'm just learning avid and therefore I need to know how to make avid conform the squeezed footage to a 16:9 frame and then how to remove the 2:3:3:2 pulldown.

Help?

use a 23.976 project and right click on the composer monitor and click 16:9 monitors
