Editing Software

there's a guy selling unopened copies of Vegas 7 on ebay for $60. is there any major reason to go with vegas 8 or 9? would 7 be fine for someone just like me just starting out?

that would be an excellent deal, which would make me a little suspicious of their origin...otherwise, a great program but comes with a fairly steep learning curve. I'm expecting my version 8 today, and sure I'll be hollerin' for help next week..
 
Yeah, I was/am suspicious but all his feedback is positive so I might just go for it. It doesn't seem like there have been any huge upgrades in the later versions but that's just my impression from reading what I could find online and I thought members here might have some additional insight into the differences from one version to the next. Vegas 7 can edit 24pA footage, correct?
 
..I would hope so, might want to pull up the specs on it to make sure it's gonna do what you need..saw that post, and another one for vegas8 a little further down Really Cheap, but the auction lasts another 6 days...for that price though, the v.7 looks like a winner, if it comes with the warrenty and everything..with the $250 upgrade to v.9 would definately be worth it, IMHO.
