Editing Neoscene(PC) .avi files with Final Cut Pro

Can it be done?

My workflow for a project I working on is I film on GH1, convert with Neoscene then pass it on to another person to edit it on a Mac using Final Cut Pro. It appears Final Cut Pro doesn't like the .avi files.

Is there a way to have a PC version of Neoscene create .mov files?

Don't you have to have the Neoscene codec on the machine for it to work. Perhaps it's the 'avi', and you would need to use Quicktime Pro to 'wrap' the avi in a MOV wrapper.
