Editing .MTS files in Final Cut Pro 6.05

I just got a DVD from a client and the clips are .MTS files. I can't open them and Log and Transfer doesn't know what to do with them.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Try Toast 9/10, MPEG Streamclip or Clipwrap.

Try the Premiere Pro CS4 demo. Place the MTS files into a P2 timeline. It works on my PC with a 2.6 GHZ Yorkfield CPU.

Toast was susggested so I thought I should include PP CS4. My PC system can play native AVCHD. My FCP friend admits PP CS4 is much more refined system than FCP. They say FCS 3.0 is comming soon. Perhaps that will allow yuo to edit native AVCHD files.
