Editing large projects

Quick question about editing on final cut express.
I have about 50 tapes to capture. I was wondering if its good to make seperate folders for each tape. Because Im a bit concerned when I captured a new tape in the same folder and it saved it was untitled1, and I could have sworn that tilte was taken. is it overwriting files witout asking me? it normally doesnt but anyway.
I just thought it would be better for organization to seperate all the clips by tapes by giving each tape a folder. But would the editing timeline have a hard time managing all the files from differnt folders? especially if there is 50 of them?

Just name each tape instead of letting it default to untitled1. It should go up after each stop and start. (at least it did on final cut pro 2 years ago on the FCP machine i used at school)

yeah. thats what I was thinking too. Ive been labelling all the shots in the list on final cut but not the original captured files themselves. I guess I should start.
thanks

yeah definetly name name each tape when you capture it.
also, if you are capturing 50 tapes, make sure you only capture the shots you need by using the mark ins and outs. because 50 tapes will blow your hard drive space out
