GH4 Editing gh4 footage on fcp7 & grading on resolve

Richie here from Manila in the Philippines. I recently shot my first project on my gh4. I just wanted to find out what is the best workflow editing on FCP 7 and grading on resolve .
I shot most of my footage on 4k 24fps and 1080p 60fps.
My computer is a MacPro 8 core (2009) with 32gb of ram.
I have transcoded all my footage to prores 422 1080p timeline.
1.How do take advantage of my 4k footage when keying out chroma footage.
2. How do I make an EDL for the grading on resolve ?
Any tips?
 
As someone who still hates FCPX, I have to agree, for editing GH4 footage, FCPX is the way to go if your system can handle it. You can edit straight from the 4k files without any transcoding.

Why do you hate FCPX? Spend some time in it and you just can't go back to track editing.

It just gets in the way too much. For most of what I do, I have no reason to use it. If I was cutting a long form narrative, or anything with 4k or Red Raw, I'd probably switch.
 
i cant stand the fcpx timeline and fcp7 couldnt handle my gh4 so i bought a pc and am using adobe cc. I am not liking the montlhy payments and if i could go back id take the time to learn fcpx and get an imac. I just dont see how fcpx is easier to edit but i know when i export from fcpx my projects look better than a full quality export from premiere
