I heard that as yet there is no real solid editing solution for the JVCHD-100 on a mac. Supposedly apple doesen't support it. Does anyone know how/when editing the JVCHD-100 will become possible? By January!? PLEASE!?

720p30 works fine in FCP5. Lumiere HD is required to remove the pulldown for 720P24.themaestro said:I heard that as yet there is no real solid editing solution for the JVCHD-100 on a mac. Or is it the other way around?
You can use Lumiere to output 720P24 back to HDV tape - but I haven't tested it yet myself. I suppose if your sequence was 720P30, you could output back to HDV straight from FCP - but I haven't tested that yet either.
athouguia said:No, the HD101 is the one with DVin capability. I can export to tape, but it will still be HDV that can only be played on a JVC deck or camera. I'm a bit confused about this, so many options, so many incompatibilities... Most of my work is for broadcasting, for now I'm only working in SD. I export to DV and then give a copy in digibeta or SX to the broadcaster. Lets suppose I export my sequence in 720P30 or 720P25, can I then make a copy to HDCAM or D5 like nateweaver says and then deliver it to the broadcaster? Will they be able to play it?
