Editing DVCPRO HD: What To Buy?

[Mr. Blonde]

Just wanted to start a thread in order to get some input from users who have edited DVCPRO HD footage.

.....What are the requirements as far as hardware power needed. Open to both mac and preferably pc hardware.

[SkiUtah]

Heres a site explaining what macs can and can't handle DVCPROHD footage.

Blonde,

PC wise I only know about Avid and Canopus.
For Canopus see this link:
www.canopus.us/US/products/EDIUSPro3/pt_EDIUSPro3_Options.asp

Unfortunately have no info about Ulead or Adobe Premiere.

Hope this helps

I'm already set with Avid Xpress HD, haven't ever tried Canopus.
