editing capture has flicker

The editor for my project is imputing my 24P footage into Premier Pro using a Sony DV cam deck. There is a very visible flicker in the white areas. It is there whether he imputs in 30 FPS normal video or 24P. Can anyone offer suggestions? Thanks.

I think what you're seeing is blown out highlights cause by over exposure. Try taking down the exposure in post.....

It turns out the original tapes did have some blown out hightlights, but when the original tape was played back on a deck and viewed on a monitor there was no flicker. The editor produced an edited CD that had no flicker. But when he tried to make an edited tape of the same footage, the flicker appeared.

I just found out the problem is probably the editor's system. He's using Adobe Primier Pro, and another member reported that there can be problems when shooting 24P with this system.
