Editing 7D with HVX DVCPRO footage???

I've heard people mixing 5D & 7D footage with their HVX200 or 300 footage before, but can anyone elaborate on the process? Or does anyone disagree with this?

I believe I have to transcode the 5D/7D footage to ProRes, then bring it into FCP. So, what do I do next?

Just bring it onto the timeline with the DVCPRO footage and start cutting OR do I have to transcode it again to DVCPRO 24p???

Also, if anyone has success in this, do you have any links to some samples?

If you have Toast 10 or ClipWrap2, simply convert the 5D/7D footage, assuming the same frame rate, to DVCProHD.
