Editing 30p footage in Vegas

good advice Spot.. i was thinking you where going a little nuts there suggesting shooting at 30p for film out but I realize i just read you wrong.

When is that film out? Ill be driving down, well more like through there, mid January.

We've shot the first segments, and expect to shoot the second segments on our way home from CES in Valley of Fire, since it's on our way back. We had to give the Canon back, but will have our own in-house XL-H1 once we get to CES next week. We're supposed to complete the film-transfer by mid-Feb. (Magazine article we've been commissioned to do)
Driving through SLC? Wanna do lunch?

for sure if we make it.. not sure which way we are gonna take. If i can make CES, it will be the #30 SLC route, if not probally the coast way.

Some parts of Utah are a little scary though, in a fun way, its always worth the diversion.

Should I edit in a 60i timeline, blend out output?

Should I edit in a 60i timeline, blend out output?

Figured this was a good thread to post my qustion....

Should I edit my 60i footage in a 60i Timeline, then worry about de-interlacing on output?

My camera shoots 60i, but I've been editing in a 640x360progessive timeline.

Should I actually be editing in an interlaced timeline, then just have Vegas do the blending on output?
(when outputing to 30p)

Thanks,

jg
