Editing 24pa footage

Hey,

Shot my feature on a Panasonic DVX100 in 24p Advanced. I since sold my DVX to pay for post production do I need to capture the footage of that camera to preserve quality? My friend says I do...

Can anyone tell me or confirm?

No. Any DV camera should be just fine as long as it isn't super-cheap or super-old. It only needs to be able to transfer all the metadata with the footage, and almost any DV camera can.
