Edit Natively in Premiere on Mac?

Once again he's (partaly) wrong... it's PP's issue, not OSX's

you can maintain full range in OSX with;
Avid media Composer
Smoke 2013
Resolve
FCX

I would avoid crippled prosumer software like PP, and spend $995 on Media Composer and get professional tools that don't force you into workarounds for basic color managment

I do think many of the destructive "fauxLog" profiles were created to avoid this PP issue as folks who promote those profiles also use PP, and the folks like me who use tools that maintain color managment find them to be somewhat sub-optimal...

LOL, what are your thoughts on FCP6 with clipwrap? I've always been fairly happy with my FCP output vs Premiere, which I use less often.

That's funny. I would just avoid crippled prosumer software like OSX. That is made for iPhones. Funny how everything tends to work colorwise in PC-land but macs are always screwed up. Get a proper OS that works, something that doesn't use QT.

OSX is fine, just use one of the solutions suggested by Dermot. Not a problem for me at all as
Adobe products are EOL'd anyways as far as I am concerned with the move to 'software rental'.
Media Composer 7 looks interesting to me, I've never used it but might give the trial a go.

If Premiere is the culprit, then I assume the "crushing" happens on a PC too? Or is it the Quicktime+Premiere combination that causes it?
