Edit metadeta on camera with computer?

Does anyone know of a way to edit metadeta (user clip name) by connecting a notebook computer to the camera? I know you can put metadata on a SD card & read the card, but is there a way to change metadata practically "on the fly" when the camera is paused between takes? Sort of "log as you shoot". Sometimes we shoot 6 to 10 interviews back to back. Would be great to be able to put in the names between interviews without ejectinjg the SD card, programming the SD card on a computer, re-inserting and reading it into the camera.

Hmmm... I'm not aware of any way to do that, but it would be a great little feature to have.

One option, I guess would be to have a bunch of those SD cards and program them in advance.

On the HPX170, HPX2000 and HPX3000 there's a software keyboard that would let you enter metadata right then and there.

On the HVX200/HPX500, no such capability exists. You could, however, just pop the P2 card out and edit the metadata directly using P2 Viewer or P2CMS, then plug the card back in and shoot the next interview, etc.
