When I listen to the audio either from the on camera mic or wireless mic I hear reverberation or an echo in the head phones?? Is there any way to change a setting on the camera to get rid of this? Thanks.
I don't have the DVX100a but from what I understand from other posts on this site the echo that you hear is a delay in the processing internally and is unavoidable. The older DVX100 does not do this. By using headphones with good sound seperation will help quite a bit.
Correct. The echo happens because the audio is delayed to sync with the frame-buffered video. If you switch to 60i mode the echo will disappear. In 24P mode, there's echo, but the benefit is the audio is in sync with the video on tape (which wasn't the case with the original DVX100).
