Ebay...

I can't believe there was life before Ebay!! I just bought two books there today.

Funny note, I said again to hubby - I love Ebay, and he said 'i love you too' I am sure he thought I said, I love you, babe. lol I didn't correct him.

I'm an Amazon guy myself, totally addicted (books/CD's) BUT, I use my ebay account a few times a month to for obscure crap I don't need.

I just bought a cool, electronic weight counter and some antique sheet music, I mean, what the hell!? I don't read music and I have nothing to weigh.

I swear Blaine, I had to hide my amazon shortcut on my browser. Everytime I click it I can't leave without buying a book or CD. That site is like crack, I loooove it :)

Movies are my weakness. I never really bought VHS movies but DVDs are a different manner. (Oh, yes, books, software, my Nikon camera and lenses...and the wheel keeps rollin')

Exactly. Totally addicted to Amazon. My big weakness: music. I spend thousands a year on CDs. And yes, books, Nikon D300 and lenses etc. I even bought my Apple laptops from Amazon (no tax, he, he). That said, I gotta cut back. I'm spending way too much. And yes indeed, I avoid Ebay - never used it - there are too many scams, plus what if you don't get what you bargained for? If I buy anything from an Amazon Merchant, I can return it no questions asked with Amazon's A to Z guarantee. Meanwhile, Ebay is filled with crooks, and if you are not happy with a transaction, you can go skate, Ebay will do NOTHING for you. Plus I avoid Paypal on principle. So to me, Ebay may as well not exist.

My Amazon addiction is in book form. Every show, somebody has some kind of insanely great picture books (industrial ruins, aircraft, Byzantine cathedrals, whatever) in their library, that I just have to get for my own.

I'm presently designing new bookshelves.

Ha!

Their marketing is brilliant, they know exactly what I like every time I sign in, and I buy it. They has this real shiny Nikon lens right there last week on my front page, right next to a real cool Frank Miller Novel, I mean, how can you NOT buy those things?

I'm a sucker.

Slap me, but I have never used eBay either.... wait.. I did once buy a lens for 50 bucks that I promptly gave away to my brother-in-law...

What would I do without paypal? Now, that's another story indeed.

Later,
Jason

I have neither purchased nor sold anything on ebay.

I actually haven't either, but I constantly log on to check prices and take a look at things I might be interested in buying. I have an account and have considered selling things to rake in a few extra bucks but I have't uet taken that plunge.
