Look up a picture. You can get them just about anywhere that sells lights (not eBay usually). They're just metal screens that fit onto your light to cut intensity. They come in various strengths. I don't think you can make them, but why would you want to?

Dimmers decrease the color temperature of an incandescent lamp. If you don't care, great. If you don't want that you have to correct with color temperature blue gel.

They are the metal rings used to mount soft boxes to lights.

so, 2 407's, one smaller light for hair, a scrim (or a couple of scrims, different strengths), stands for all three lights.

How portable would you say this set-up is?
