Ebay dvx packages or no?

well that is a great price of the b, as long as its not grey market i dont see why it would be bad. They have good feedback and stuff. Chances are you wont use to many of those accessories, there usually trash, but who knows. As long as its not a grey market cam that seems like a decent deal....

wouldnt the filters be good for certain light conditions and the bags would be good for the obvious purpose. The tripods are not the best but i will take it if that is the website i choose.

Thank you

I bought my HVX from digital corp, and didn't have any problems with them at all. Although, I'd call their 1-800 number instead of buying it from ebay. Thats what I did at least. When spending a large amount of money I'd rather talk directly to the person instead of going through ebay. They were very informative over the phone and pleasant to talk to. They also offer a Mack warranty, which as far as I know is the only legit warranty next to a Panasonic one... It is a grey market seller I guess, but I'd say they are a good one. I haven't heard anything bad about them, and would probably purchase from them again if I needed to.

hey,

I agree, call them up and talk to them, but I would go through ebay, for the simple fact that you are covered up to $2000.00 by ebay/paypal. And if you use your creditcard through paypal your also covered by your credit card company (of course each credit card company has different policies).

All the best.

yes there good. i bought a similiar package from them awhile ago and the two partner stores in nyc. digital shoppin or something. all packages came next day, ordered over the phone

???

???

Did you end up buying that package yet? How was it? I am in the market for my first camera and am scouting for such a deal.

I bought an almost identical package last summer and have not had a single problem with the camera, nor was there any problem with the seller.

Actually there was some fishiness with the seller and customs, long story but it wasn't anything major. It just seemed like a computer error or forgetfulness.

Bottom line: I wouldn't be afraid of eBay packages. Just make sure they don't ship with DHL. They delivered my camera to a different house, in a different city, to a man with a completely different and dissimilar name to mine.

Thats the problem with Ebay, unless they are Panny Authorised resellers, its usually grey market, Mack warranties and international warranties in general are crap and don't really stand up. My DVX came from a local Panny dealer who gave me a better price than I could get it off Ebay anyway, 12months genuine Panasonic Factory Warranty. I bought my GS300 of Ebay as a grey market cam but hey, when you only spend $800, who gives a ****, but $2 and $3K, a different story.

Grey-market goods are not generally illegal. Instead, they are sold outside of normal distribution channels by companies which may have no relationship with the producer of the goods. Frequently this form of parallel import occurs when the price of an item is significantly higher in one country than another. This situation commonly occurs with cigarettes and with electronic equipment such as cameras. Entrepreneurs buy the product where it is available cheaply, often at retail but sometimes at wholesale, and import it legally to the target market. They then sell it at a price high enough to provide a profit but under the normal market price.

So grey market merchandise is official, just without a manufacturer warranty? I bought my DVX100a from a seller like the one mentioned. I have been happy with it thus far and it has been 2 years.

I would be very careful. I searched and searched for months trying to get a bargin from websites like this but turns out many are fony. THEY DONT COME WITH LENSES! which is pointless and they charge you like another 800 min for the lenses. I once was promised it came with a lens and would be ready to use right out of the box but when i received it there was no lens, just the body. Sucks, i finally got lucky by finding a good deal on a used dvx100b with only 20hrs on the head with a bunch of extras for 2,000. Good luck on your hunt.
