Easy program for dubbing?

I need to dub some film scenes to another language and I was wondering about an easy to learn application for this. Adobe Premiere won't let you play the movie and record audio at the same time (which ironically Windows Movie Makers' crappy software does allow). Any suggestions?

If you don't want to invest in more commercial software, you can add a step by recording into your camera and capturing it after, or running a recording program in the background.

Ok, so Protools and Cubase are way too expensive and complex. Basically what I'm looking for it's an Adobe Premiere that allows you to record audio as you view video. Is there anything like this around?

It's a little more work in post, but here's a guerilla ADR/foley setup that's worked for me:

Put the video clip (with guide) on a portable video device (portable DVD player, iPod, etc.) Using a stereo audio recorder (a camcorder will work in a pinch), run a mic into channel 1 and the video's guide audio into channel 2. The guide will serve as a synch reference when you import the recordings into your audio workstation or NLE software. Slating takes and keeping notes will help keep you organized.

As for Protools being too expensive/complex, let's put that in perspective. Compared to what this sort of functionality would cost a scant 8 years ago, an Mbox2 would be a bargain at twice the price. Anything that gives you that much flexibility and power is bound to have a bit of a learning curve. That said, its pretty easy to pick up once you sit down with it, and there are plenty of excellent books and tutorial classes to get you started.

Man, even windows movie maker has this function. It's hard to believe that the big guys like Vegas, Premiere and so on don't have it.
