Easy lens question...

Hi everybody, i recently purchased the letus extreme to go along with my dvx100b and along with the adapter i bought a nikon 35 f/1.8 lens. Now does that mean since that lens is NOT a zoom lens that i won't be able to zoom in? OR can i use the zoom from my camcorder still?

It's a prime lens so yes you won't be able to zoom in. You can use the zoom on the camera only to a certain extent before your image begins to degrade and you stop being able to focus on the ground glass.

ok thanks alot for the info. I have 1 follow up question to ask though.|
So if i have a 35mm f/1.8 lens and want a zoom lens to match the quality I would have to get a zoom lens that is f/1.8 as well correct? And would 3.5-5.6 be a huge difference in depth of field?

We will be better off using a set of prime lenses.
Just get a 50mm 1.4, an 85mm 1.8 and a 135mm 2.0 and you're good.
