Easiest and cheapest path to component?

I'm using my AF-100 as a source for a switcher/encoder (the Telecaster 40) that accepts HD Component, SD Component, Y/C or Composite....
Would the yellow RCA video out be a solution to feed the input to Composite? We are not streaming in HD.
At this point, I would prefer not to spend the $300 on an SDI to analog component converter.

Yup, that's how it works. I'm guessing you meant Tricaster 40? If not, what's the company name of the product, because I can't find anything on it. Will you be using CAT5 cable with baluns to convert the signal?
