Earthrace documentary! - Can anyone help!?

Please, can anyone Help with 2GB, 4GB P2 cards or anything larger! Its for a great cause!

Earthrace, a boat from New Zealand that is raising awareness of alternative fuels by beating the world circumnavigation record in a power boat that is fueled by 100% pure bio diesel (vegetable oils and animal fats) is in need of P2 cards for the documentary.

We currently have no funding for the doco and have an HVX200 but no cards :(

Is there anyone / company out there who is willing to give us / sponsor us / loan a couple of P2 cards to help support our cause and documentary?

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated and as we are currently getting a HUGE amount of publicity from all over the world we can try and help you / your company in any way possible.

Do you have something to offload the P2 cards to? Or will a laptop be the next request? And a 500-1000 GB drive? And a backup drive? Make sure you get all the pieces you'll need, as long as you're asking.

There may be a lot of P2 cards available for loan once the Cineporter's available (this summer.) When do you leave Miami?

Hey, thanks for the reply!

We have just been sponsored an apple macbook pro laptop, ten + 180gb hard drives and a one terabite hard drive also, so we are pretty sweet with everything else..... just need the P2 cards and we are good to go.

The race starts on March 10 from Barbados and we leave Miami for Panama on or around monday 5th March.
 
That boat was just here in Savannah about a month ago. If only I had known... I could have spent a day shooting some video for you.

Cotton, you might try asking for 2 gb or 4 gb cards -- they're more likely to be sitting on someone's shelf than being actively used. Since you won't be far from your download point, at least you could make it work for 10 minutes of video for the 4gb cards, or record directly to the laptop via firewire.
 
Jim!! That would have been great!.... we come back to the states after the race so will put up a post here when we come back

Thanks for the advice! Yeah i will see if anyone has 2gb or 4gb cards also........ Anything will be helpfull to us at this stage. Recording directly to my laptop will have to be an option if we dont manage to find any P2's....... haha, can just imagine having my laptop on my back whilst shooting.........
 
I am not sure, but i guess that (quite) no one has 2 GB cards, and as i recall, they dont work with the HVX200...!

If you dont find anyone to sponosr you(well i hope you will find someone..!), try to invest in at least two 4GB cards, this way you should be fine, filming, downloading and so on...if you use a MAC, be aware of the "Glitch"-issues that might appear when downloading, get your information through the forum here, always copy-protect the cards befor downloading...at least...!
