Early HVX200 Controlling Red Noise Levels

Good morning,

I own an early HVX 200 (Mar 2006). I’ve noticed the reds can be particularly noisy. I most always shoot 720/24pn and some variant of cine V or D, and usually end up backing down on chroma, contrast, and then tweek the black levels accordingly.

I'm wondering if others have had similar experiences.
