"E-Series" SxS cards?

Interesting blurb from the PMW-350K brochure...

"Affordability: SxS-1 media (introduced in late 2009) provides users with a lower cost alternative to SxS PRO media that offers the same high performance, but with an estimated 5-year life span when recording at full capacity once per day. Users can check the card life on their PMW-350K camcorder and even see an alarm when the data rewriting limit is reached."

Anyone hear about cost and or availability of these new cards yet? Smart move, with the introduction of the E-Series P2 cards, Sony needed to provide this option.

Normally quoted cycle limits are ~100,000 for SLC and ~10,000 for MLC. Sony cards will have 365*5 < 2,000 cycles. What is it? Is Sony being overly cautious, or wants to sell more cards for power users or SLC/MLS limits are in fact lower than generally accepted?

It all sounds identical to the E Series specs as far as how they are rating it and the type of memory they are using. I am just curious about cost and availability. It is pretty "late in 2009" right now.

Yes I could use a 32 gig card myself. 850.00 is still a bit out of reach. Since the world will end in 2012, I'll still have plenty of life left in my E series to shoot the Apocalypse in stunning 1080P.
