FS7: E-mount lens continuous autofocus

Has anyone had a chance to try autofocus using a native E-mount lens? Continuous autofocus during recording, I should clarify.

I'm curious if it's workable for use with, say, a DJI Ronin.

Will be trying to test a native E mount Sony 3.5-5.6/ 16-50 it's probably not a great performer but I also want to test the auto focus performance. Will post the results in a few days time.

I tried the SEL 18-200 and I definitely recommend not using continous AF.
But I won't recommend it with any other camera I've shot with anyway...

You can use "Push Auto AF" which can help in some situations.

Hi!
I got a FS7 last week and was curious to try the continues autofocus on different lenses.
And surprisingly I found out that the SONY E Mount SELP 18105 F4 works quite well.
This was a real big moment for me to decide wether to buy or not.
I have a EX3 and a C100 and wanted a new hybrid who can take the RUN AND GUN ENG life and also deliver large sensor film look.
And after one night of testing I decided I will give it a go and ordered one - tomorrow it should arrive :-)

The Lens Problem is quit strong,

E Mount Lenses work better with autofocus and especially the SELB 18105 F4with continues autofocus.
I tested only in low light situations and it handled everything pretty good and smooth nearly like the dual pixel from the C100.
- But the Iris is slow - But with PUSH AUTO IRIS it handles the situation more quickly
The motor zoom works great with the handle and is smooooooooth.
I am really looking forward to the SELP 28135 F4 and will test it as soon as it is available,

For Alpha Lenes I do have the LA E4 Adpater and Push autofucus works but no continues as it is with METABONES.

I also tried the none powered SEL18200 - and I found it more slower than the POWER ZOOM SELP 18105 F4 and of course it has no F4 throughout.

Very exited about tomorrow

I don't own the FS7, but the quite recent Sony A5100. My experience is that, when you want fast low-light continuous auto-focus, the Sony E24mm/f1.8 (expensive) and the E50mm/f1.8 (reasonably affordable) are highly recommended. Below 24mm I see no real reason for AF, since DoF is wide enough for manual (zone) focusing.
