Makes me angry to read this rubbish when i was looking for more infomation on the HVX200!!!!!! the thead was named HVX200 getting smacked again...

This guys name is :kali: Walter Graff by the way!!!!!

Walter says:::::

Well this sums up DVXUSER and this thread you mention: "I got a call from EVS today that my number came up and that there was an HVX available. After hearing about the noise issues from HVX owners I decided to pass. "

These people are expecting a prosumer camera to perform like a pro camera. As I mentioned in another thread, that is going to sink them.

Second, most of the people who bicker and argue on that site are not working in any regard in any field of video from what I can see so to them it's not about their skills but the hammer. And no one built a house spending 12 hours in the Home Depot starring at the hammers wondering which was best. Silly thread over there. Most of them have turned into silly threads. I guess that is why so many folks are leaving DVX for better conversation other places as a few noted here recently.

The Varicam was noisy in certain situations when I first used it and the solution as a person who works towards experience, not working with the best equipment was a workaround. But to these guys, it's the cameras fault and there is no problem with anything else. It's sort of like saying you know how to drive because while you never actually drove, you read the drivers manual.

That's what I was getting at in my other post. You can't expect miracles from a consumer camera. In fact you can't expect miracles from a $60,000 camera. If some of these neophytes spent more time learning the skills rather than worrying if the nails they use are copper or a tin composite, they'd realize that the camera becomes the least important part of the equation and the challenge of good cinematography isn't what camera to buy but how to work around life's obstacles. Twenty years ago folks had a lot less to work with and in many ways made stuff better than we do today.

If that isn't a kick to the balls i don't know what is!!!! :nads:

Here is the link to the thead: *link deleted*

Way better stuff. Most Fellini films were'nt even shot sync sound and they make most of todays movies look like rubber dog s%$#.

Shoot more, pixel peep less.

Please don't air dirty laundry from other sites over here. You've given Walter what he wanted, attention.
